Wishlist Wednesday (27)

Hello everyone! :) I haven't done a Wishlist Wednesday in forever and I thought I'd change it up a bit. Usually I just pick random books that I've had my eye on. From now on, I'll actually be picking books from my Barnes and Noble wish list. I'm going to start from the bottom of the list, which are books I picked out as early as 2008.

Climbing to the top of the social ladder is hard--falling from it is even harder. I've heard AMAZING things about this book! I'll read it eventually, and when I do, I know I'll love it.

So I've never read anything by James Patterson but every book he comes out with ends up getting a load of publicity for how amazing of an author he is. Friends of mine even love him... and I still haven't gotten to one of his books yet. Maybe I'll try this one eventually?

All's not fair in love, war, and high school journalism

Luisa will cover the events from the female POV, while another anonymous writer provides the male perspective-or, at least, that's how it begins. The two columnists soon find themselves engaged in an epic battle of the sexes-a battle that Luisa is determined to win. Just who does this guy think he is, encouraging his peers to act like Neanderthals with their girlfriends? And why can't Luisa shake the very sinking feeling that her new unidentified nemesis might also be her new boyfriend?

While I was in Barnes and Noble last week, I saw this book in the New Release section and I thought it looked so cute. As much as I love fantasy and all of that good stuff, it's fun to read something a bit more light and real.

Lucas by Kevin Brooks

I havent read too many reviews of this book, but this book intrigues me. The synopsis kind of draws me in, and I really want to read more about the characters. The cover is kinda creepy, but I love the guys blue eyes.

Arielle: I have soooo many books on my wishlist, it is insane!! But I really, really want this book, and I hope I can read it soon! I may even have had this as a WOW, or even just on my wishlist, but I really want to get this!! lol

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Bloom by Elizabeth Scott

There's a difference between falling and letting go.

Lauren has a good life: decent grades, great friends, and a boyfriend every girl lusts after. So why is she so unhappy?

It takes the arrival of Evan Kirkland for Lauren to figure out the answer: She's been holding back. She's been denying herself a bunch of things (like sex) because staying with her loyal and gorgeous boyfriend, Dave, is the "right" thing to do. After all, who would give up the perfect boyfriend?

I recently read a review that made me want to read this so bad! I really like the cover. Green is my favorite color! And I love how simple it looks, and the story sounds great too! :)

I just found out my sister actually has this book, which is great! I have been meaning to buy it, but now I dont have to. Marisa and Briana told me this book was fantastic...so I will have to read it ASAP! :)

I have heard some mixed reviews about this book, but I still want to read it. The summary seems very interesting and I think I would like reading this book.

I think that this book sounds really good so I'm willing to give it a try.

Stolen by Lucy Christopher

After reading Marisa's Teaser Tuesday from the book Stolen, I was immediately interested in this book. It sounds so intense. And I think it sounds like a good book.

Briana:

Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes

Sarah Byrnes and Eric have been friends for years. When they were children, his fat and her terrible scars made them both outcasts. Later, although swimming slimmed Eric, she stayed his closest friend.

Now Sarah Byrnes — the smartest, toughest person Eric has ever known — sits silent in a hospital. Eric must uncover the terrible secret she's hiding, before its dark currents pull them both under.

I've been wanting to read this book for a while! This is kind of embarresing... but when a cute guy in my English class said that's his favorite author, it made me want to read it more :P.

Oh and guess what?! I'm going to major in English :) I finally know what I want to do!

The Patron Saint of Butterflies by Cecilia Galante

I'm not going to lie, part of the reason I want this book is because the author was my homeroom teacher for my junior year in high school. She is really, really sweet and I've heard fantastic things about it.

The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams

Thirteen-year-old Kyra has grown up in an isolated polygamous community without questioning her father’s three wives and her twenty brothers and sisters. Or at least without questioning them much—if you don’t count her secret visits to the Mobile Library on Wheels to read forbidden books, or her meetings with the boy she hopes to choose for herself instead of having a man chosen for her. But when the Prophet decrees that Kyra must marry her 60-year-old uncle—who already has six wives—Kyra must make a desperate choice in the face of violence and her own fears of losing her family.

This book sounds really interesting and totally different. I really want to read it!

I love Laurie Halse Anderson and this is the only book by her that I havent read yet! So I really want to read this book soon. It was written pretty recently but the story is set a long time ago, and I really like that. I cant wait to read it!

How cute does this book sound?! I've seen it at Barnes & Noble several times but never picked it up. I know that I want to read it, but I just never bothered buying it. Next time I'm at Barnes & Noble I'm going to try my hardest to remember to buy this book!

I've always like reading about faeries and this one sounds interesting. A lot of people have said they loved this book so I really want to buy it!!

I've heard nothing but great things about this book. It comes out today (Yay!) , but since I entered a bunch of contests to win it, I'll wait until they're over. Wish me luck :)

I heard this was a good book and every time I go to Barnes and Noble I read the back of it. It sounds interesting and the cover catches my eye. I like the title too, its different.
