About BAM

About BAM:
BAM (originally Variety Book Reviews) was created as a way for Briana to share her love of books. After bonding with two others her age (Arielle and Marisa) via the Barnes & Noble Teen Book Club, she decided to invite them to co-blog with her - which is how the name "BAM" was established... talk about innovation, am I right?

After a year (ish), Arielle and Marisa slowly started to move on from the book blogging life, but Briana still (sporadically) keeps up with it - mostly because she can't bear to let it go.

If you're interested in sharing your love of books, feel free to email Briana at brianadbayer@gmail.com in order to chat about the details.
About the Bloggers:

Hello, hello! I'm Briana, but you can call me Bri (bree) if you'd like! I'm a (somewhat) recent Public Relations, Organizational Communication, and English Literature graduate. Ever since I started this blog in high school, I had this dream of working in the publishing industry. As daunting as it was (and still is), dreams change. While I still love to read, I've learned that I don't want to turn it into a career.

I'm currently in the "graduated without a real job" boat, but I'm actively searching for a position within a staffing agency as a recruiter. I've come to learn that similar to books, people are full of emotion, surprises, and learning experiences - which is precisely why I want to work with and help them daily.

Even though I don't blog regularly, I'm pretty active on Twitter (@briana_reads) and remain close with my blogging buddies. Feel free to reach out!

My name is Kelsey, and I love to write. Second only to my love of writing is my passion for travel. Even though I’ve lived in Houston, TX most of my life, for the last two years of high school I lived in ¡Madrid, EspaƱa!—an experience which inspired all kinds of humorous, tragic and usually quirky original poems. It was also during this time that my very close friend, Eline Van Den Haak, encouraged me to publish what is now my debut young-adult novel, The Shackles of Constantine (check it out on amazon.com!). Being a young aspiring author was challenging at first, but as it turns out, I wasn’t alone, and there are hundreds of writing communities willing to bestow valuable advice for anyone else interested in diving into the writer/author-sphere.

But I digress.

After finishing high school, I decided to come back to the states to start college in Boston, MA. In spite of the hectic schedule that college brings, I still write, and I still read, so writing reviews gives me a perfect excuse to do both all the time. I thank you for indulging my passions, and for taking the time to read this brief introduction to who I am.

If you want to know more about me or about my book, see my website! http://www.theshacklesofconstantine.com/   or email me with questions about being a writer, going to college or living in Spain at: kelseyanneyoung.author@gmail.com.
