Flawless (Pretty Little Liars Series #2)

Sara Shepard

Published 2008

352 Pages

Rating: A+

(The summary contains spoilers of book 1, Pretty Little Liars.)

Spencer stole her sister's boyfriend. Aria is brokenhearted over her English teacher. Emily likes her new friend Maya . . . as much more than a friend. Hanna's obsession with looking flawless is making her sick. And their most horrible secret yet is so scandalous that the truth would ruin them forever.

And why shouldn't I tell? They deserve to lose it all. With every crumpled note, wicked IM, and vindictive text message I send, I'll be taking these pretty little liars down. Trust me, I've got enough dirt to bury them alive.

Wow. Just wow. I am amazed and completely in love with this series. Just call me hooked!

Okay, so I have to admit that I was a little nervous to read Flawless, because... well you know how sequels can be sometimes. I loved the first book and I really hoped the second was just as good. Little did I know that it wasn't just as good... it was better!

Just like the first book, Flawless started off with a flashback scene of Alison. As important as that first section may be, it's probably the most boring part of the book. But I get through it and then get right on to the good stuff, Chapter 1!

I think I forgot to mention in the review of Pretty Little Liars, that the chapters rotate between the 4 girls' (Aria, Spencer, Hanna, & Emily) perspectives. At the end of every chapter, there was a cliffhanger and I could not wait to get back to that girl's perspective. But then I got to the next girl's perspective and didn't want to leave that chapter. And the cycle goes on and on.

Although the first half of the book was awesome, the second half was incredible. Suspense, glamour, surprises, oh my!

P.S. I'm going to try and read Uglies for the umpteenth time. I need to atleast finish the book before I give it a bad review. I'll feel like I'm being unfair otherwise. Anyway, I really hope it gets better!

  2. Do you think that these books are worth reading? I've heard they're kinda trashy, but I saw the TV show and I'm hooked...I love the whole thriller aspect!

  3. I don't think these books are trashy, but I gues it depends on what your definition of trashy is. There's sex scenes but they don't really go into details.
